Black and white square surf photography

I have seldom seen square format used for surf photos. It is also less common to use black and white for surf photography. I have been experimenting with some shots taken in Lofoten. The composition "rules" is completely different when you use square format so its challenging because you have to do everything different from what you are used to. I have never seen surf photos in black and white and square format.  It takes some time to get used to but I think the shots gets a unique and exiting look.

Lofoten

I just spent around six weeks in Unstad bay in Lofoten. It is truly an incredible place, with stunning nature and amazing people. With these pictures I want to show you the beauty and magic of Lofoten

October 6, "Søppelplassen" Unstad

Sunday, October 6 it was firing at Unstad bay. A handful of guys was in the water. The strong offshore wind made the conditions hard.
